Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to book in advance? What if my dog has been there before?

If your dog has:

  • Never been with us before;

  • Has been with us only a few times over more than 6 months;

  • Has been with us over 6 months ago (ex: comes for a visit once a year).

We require an advance booking for any service. Please fill our inquiry form with all the necessary information about you and your dog and we will be in contact as soon as possible. If you would like to speak with one of our team member directly, you can reach us via email at 762@gmail.com or give us a call at (403) 762-3647. Please make sure you have your dog's latest vaccine certificate, otherwise we will not be able to accommodate your dog

If your dog has:

  • Been with us in the past 6 months;

  • A daycare or overnight boarding punch card;

  • Been with us on a weekly basis for multiple months.

Regular furry friends do not need a reservation for daycare, however a heads-up is always appreciated. We cannot guarantee that we will have room for drop-ins on any given date, especially on weekends.

To let us know that your pup will be attending daycare or will be having a sleepover, you can send an email at 762dogs@gmail.com, send us a text message or call us at (403) 762-3647 or fill out our returning guest inquiry form.

Please keep in mind that if your dog has any behavioral quirks or issues or if they are not neutered/spayed, we will require a reservation to ensure we have the space necessary to accommodate your dog.

What do you require of me and my dog?

We ask that our guests meet three criteria to be able to enjoy our services. First, they must be up-to-date with all their vaccines including DA2PP, Rabies and Bordetella (aka. kennel cough). Second, they must be sociable with other dogs and people, this means that your dog isn’t aggressive and that they are comfortable being handled by strangers. Third, all dogs over 10 months should be spayed or neutered, though exceptions may be granted on a case by case basis.

What are your check-in and check-out times?

Check-ins and check-outs are anytime during our open hours at the bottom of this page. However, if you are  dropping off your dog for an overnight stay, we suggest to drop off at least a few hours before closing time. That will give your dog time to get acquainted and comfortable with the space, with us and with the others dogs.

What kind of dogs are you able to accommodate?

We are generally able to accommodate dogs of all ages and sizes as long as they meet are three criteria listed above. Unfortunately we can never guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your dog if they have any behavioral or medical issues.

However we are generally able to accept anxious dogs, older dogs, dogs with disabilities such as blindness and missing limbs, puppies, and dogs with medical conditions that don’t require constant medical care. We are unable to take dogs that have any kind of aggressive history wither towards people or other animals. To find out if we would be able to take your dog please contact us at (403) 762-3647 or 762dogs@gmail.com. Please note that we accept dogs on a case by case basis and we reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.

Am I able to come pick up my dog after your closing hours?

In the past we have received many requests for after-hours pick ups and/or late night check outs. We have sometimes been able to accommodate these requests, but often have not (to the disappointment of both us and the owners).

As a result, we have worked hard to get to a position where we can extend our hours until 7pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s - this allows our overnight dogs even more cuddle time before bed, our daycare dogs more play time/wind down before being picked up, and gives owners more time to enjoy this wonderful mountain town before pick up time.

We will always do our best for our customers to meet their requests wherever possible, including accommodating late check outs for emergency situations. However, we are a small team. This means that whilst we offer a more personalized experience and care to each of our furry friends, it can also mean that we cannot guarantee staff availability after our closing hours. Likewise, our wonderful staff need our down time to be full of energy to care for your pups to the standard that we do!

Please do not hesitate to reach out to our team if you are in need of a late check out, so we can figure out the best solution together!

Please note: Where we are able to accommodate requests for check outs after our closing hours, extra fees will apply.

What do I need to bring for my dog?

For both daycare and overnight stays, we need every dog to come in with a leash, a collar and/or a harness. We will remove all prong collars or other collars that can prove unsafe to the dog and the others around. For overnight stays, we have everything we need to make your pup comfortable (beds, blankets, toys, bowls, slow feeder, etc. ) as well as treats and food, we serve Nutram I20 Lamb and Brown Rice. However, you are more than welcome to bring your dog's bed and /or blanket and their food (kibble, freeze dried, raw, etc.) as well as their medications and supplement if needed. If you'd like to bring a toy or a chew treat for the night, please keep in mind that if we redeem the toy or treat unsafe or a chocking hazard for the dog to have while unsupervised, we will give them during the day as opposed to during the night.

Additional Fees

New Customer, $5:

This is a one-time fee for all new customers, on their first day with us, daycare or overnight boarding. On a dog's first day, we'll create a file for the owner and the pup, take time assessing your dog either over the phone or via email when you make the reservation, and then again observing their behavior and personality with us and the other dogs.

Un-Altered male or female above 10 months old, $15/day:

This fee is charged if we are able to accommodate the dog, and is added to every day the dog is with us. Taking in an un-altered dog over our age or weight limit is an exception. Taking in an un-altered dog limits our future bookings as well as our space.

In most cases, it is not the dog itself that will show aggressive behavior, but the other dogs around, even if they are all well socialized with other dogs. Un-altered dogs also tend to mark inside, and other dogs will proceed to mark on the same spot as well, which creates a pattern and is hard for us to fully get rid of the sent and traces of urine.

Early Check-in, $20 (Earliest 7:00):

We can sometimes accommodate early check-ins before our opening hours. Please contact us to verify we are able or not to do it.
